I'mmmm back! Hey all you Kos and Kerry fans! I know it has been a while, but we have been so busy here.

So much has happened in the Kos and Kerry story! They just celebrated their 1 year anniversary! How sweet. They are still crazy about each other.

The big news is... Kos MOVED in with us. It is a long story and a private matter with his family that I try to stay out of. I just know that I always promised Kos I would never shut the door on him. So here he is...with us! At first, it was an adjustment for Kerry. He didnt have a car to drive back and forth to school, so Kerry was having to take him and still keep up with her own responsibilities. But then his Dad and I worked it out so we could get the hand controls put in Kerry's car...so now Kos is driving again!

Kos turned 20 the other day!!! We had his party at Chuck E Cheese! It was so much fun. Kerry planned it out so well. It was a Celtic basketball theme. They had so much fun. Dave, Kos's dad came and we tried to get him to play games...no such luck (maybe next time!).

Anywho, after much nagging by Kerry, we opened our pool. Of course it is not warm enough to get in it...or is it???? My son Andrew and Kos jumped into this freezing pool on a bet...buuurrrrr Well the next morning Kos's eyes was so swollen and bright red...I thought he had pink eye. He couldnt open his eyes without horrible pain. I put Visine in them and put him back to bed. They are better now...But I think because he opened his eyes in the freezing water with chemicals in it...I irritated his eyes...BAD. So now Kerry really wont get in. She has always loved the water, she just looks at the pool and wishes she could get in. When she was little, she would spend all day in the pool, barely getting out to eat. Maybe she should be a lifeguard!

Well, I guess thats all for now... I will check back in soon with the crazy stories of Kos and Kerry!

Almost a Year

Kos and Kerry are coming up on their one year anniversary! They are trying to figure out something special to do...have any suggestions???

We just got back from Myrtle Beach for the weekend! Our hotel had an indoor waterpark! Kerry didnt go down the waterslides at all (too scared) but Seth did 8 times! Kos went down once and said he kept hitting his head on they top of the tube because he didnt have the weight of legs to hold him down...hum...who would have thought about that!

So anyway, Valentines Day has come and gone. It was so sweet to watch these two. Kerry planned a scavenger hunt around the house that ended at a table set for 2 with candles and balloons all over the room. She posted sticky notes along the hunt to tell him where to go next. She laid hersheys kisses along the trail to the table. She had heart shapes plates! But for their dinner she had CHICKEN WINGS!!!! she said it was his favorite! For a drink she had Monster Energy drinks. He loved it and loved the thought she put into it.

So I am looking forward to seeing how they will plan the 1 year anniversary!

Kos making Christmas Candy!

Wow...how long has it been???? Time flies when your having fun!

I recently got a message from my friend Kelly at work to update my blog!!! Ok Kelly...I'm back

For all of you Kos and Kerry fans...they are still madly in love!! They just celebrated their 10 month anniversary... with a picnic at the lake in the middle of January! But it was too cold to get out of the car...so they let down the back seats and had their picnic, played board games and talked for hours! How romantic!

Lets back track a little bit. We were lucky enough to have Kos here for Thanksgiving Dinner! Not just him...but his dad Dave as well. We all had a nice time getting to know each other. Then Dave was gracious enough to allow Kos to go to Florida with our family to see my sister. We had so much fun playing on the beach. I think Kerry and Kos went to the beach everyday! Kos finally got to experience "Our Road Trips"!!! They are loud, fun and LONG!

Then there was Christmas! Their first Christmas together! It was sweet to watch them open their gifts together...Just simple gifts from the heart. She gave him a Celtic Jersey with his last name on the back and a Iron Man Gym he wanted. He gave her a Coat she wanted. Then they got ready and went to his dads house to spend Christmas day with him. Christmas Eve at my house is very busy! My sister Kelly and her family come stay the night and we all have Christmas morning together! But this year was the greatest year! Kelly had baby Maddox in November and to be with him on his first Christmas was the greatest gift! He is so so so so precious! I am so grateful to have the family I have! Ok, Ok...But to the happy couple. It is a tradition to go to the Waffle House at midnight Christmas Eve! We get all the little ones in bed and head out to the WH for great laughs! Kos told the waitress Merry Christmas in Russian! Then we come home and wait for Santa to arrive! It was one of the greatest Christmases I have ever had. There is nothing better than waking up to a house full of loved ones, a brand new baby and a room full of gifts!

I am excited to see what this year brings...

A Halloween Filled Weekend

I just want to start out saying how blessed I am. I thank God so much for surrounding me with so many children. Some are mine, some are not...but hey, more the merry! I love halloween time. Last weekend was my 1st weekend off work in a long time. I had 10 kids spend the night here and one of my best friends. It was a blast. Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch and Saturday night I took the kids that were NOT afraid to the haunted houses! That was so much fun...poor Christy was so scared. Kos was a trooper..there were a few houses or trails he could not bring his wheel chair and he went on his hands...I gave him my mittens (pink) to keep his hands clean. Then on Sunday we all went to "Boo in the Zoo" to trick or treat. So here are some pictures of our Halloween Filled Weekend...

You know your in love if.......

Kos and Kerry celebrate every month together. Today was their 7 month (it sure seems longer)!! As I watched them from afar, celebrate their day, I thought about how blessed I am. I raised this beautiful little dark hair sassy girl into a young women who has made great choices. For example...KOS!!!!!
So you know your in love if...
1. you go to Jack in the Box for an anniversary dinner (drive thru!)
2. you hang out with your girlfriends mom
3. you scrap book with your girlfriend
4. you watch "The Notebook" with you girlfriend..over and over
I am very blessed to be able to watch my daughter grow up and start to live her own life. I know one day she will move on (out) and really start her own life. I thank God everyday I am apart of her life ( and now Kos's). My prayer is that they will be truely happy together...so far they are.

The Blues...

Hey everyone! Long time-no blog! Things are going well here in Kos and Kerry land. I havent blogged in a long time because I started a new job. Also, Kerry and Kos have just been hanging out... no real exciting news.

I do want to say that my heart was so broken the other night. Kos is a young man that has alot of confidence in himself. He knows that he has lost his legs, but I guess at times even the strongest people get the blues. He lives in downtown, so he can just use his wheelchair and ride to any resturant he wants. He decided to go to a resturant by himself to get dinner. He said when he was eating...everyone was starring at him. Kos said that it just hit him...that he is different. He said he put his food down and left. Kos emailed Kerry and said "why do I have to look like this?" When Kerry told me that...my heart broke. I wanted to scream off the mountains... "Kos is AWESOME...just the way he is." I love this kid. He has had a lifetime of experiences in such a short time. It is his turn to just live and be happy. To become a man, have fun and love life and to be loved.

Kos is very loved. I know people may think he is lucky to have Kerry, but Kerry knows how lucky she is to have found such an amazing love in him. The two of them truely love each other. It is beautiful to watch their relationship grow. Every mother wants their children to grow and find a true love. I thank God Kerry has.

I had a talk with Kos and reminded him that if that horrible accident had never taken his legs, he wouldnt have come to the USA and found a family...and meet Kerry. He agreed!
